anychance this will be compatible with crossover games for mac?
September 1st, 2009 at 6:34 pm
Crossover Games is shit. It works perfectly with plain, vanilla, built-from-source Wine, though.

Did the Mole just have Belch’s (from Earthbound) burp?! Well, it sounded like it.
I can’t wait for this game to be complete, Arthur!
September 9th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
This WILL be the next big thing since Cave Story.
November 14th, 2009 at 7:32 pm
Mr. Podunkian how did you put downloads for your games on your website
November 21st, 2009 at 4:28 pm
I’m getting a 404 error message when I try to download the Preview 3 + Patch 3 etc.
November 21st, 2009 at 6:07 pm
I have the same problem as Tom. D:
November 21st, 2009 at 6:17 pm
sorry! i should’ve fixed it now.
November 27th, 2009 at 10:57 pm
Just played the demo. While the rips from Cave Story and Earthbound are pretty apparent, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. And you’ve made the story your own, with very fun gameplay, like the grappling hook. This is top notch.
Is there a projected release date at all? 1 month? Several months? A year?

December 12th, 2009 at 12:44 pm

It’s not true that all your games are used for windows they will run on mac or linux using wine a program easily obtained by downloading gimp a photo editing software(google it) its 100% free too I havn’t tested this game cause im not sure how well the patches will go over but all the other games seem to work perfectlt

Having a problem with downloading the game, any version of it. It looks like the url leads to GoDaddy.
Is there anyway I can obtain this game. It looks to be pretty kick ass. I’m sure it’s even better when you can play it.

You said to run it in compatibility mode if you are using Vista. Which compatibility mode? The list gives me several options: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003.
I already tried Windows XP and the game still crashed once I entered the first door.

What a great and fun game! Can’t wait until it’s finished! The game runs perfectly in Windows 7 except for the fact that the save points don’t seem to work because when I died, I had to start all over from the beginning. Is there any way to fix this?
April 12th, 2010 at 6:12 am
This has a lot of potential! Just looking at the amount of empty spaces for the outfits and weapons proves that you have some great ideas for the future of The Underside.
Also, I love that Kid Icarus homage! I didn’t expect it, that’s for sure…
June 19th, 2010 at 9:26 pm
Question: Will the final version be able to run in linux?
June 20th, 2010 at 5:32 am
I found the answer, its sad to hear. I still wish you good luck!

Arthur, perhaps you should contact Nicalis (http://www.nicalis.com/). I don’t know about the programming side of things, but I know they released Cave Story for Wii. I know you hate the comparison, but the Wii release brought hype to the game and profits to the developer. I thought maybe they would be willing to help you financially or maybe with porting. This is all based on assumption, but after the success of Cave Story, they might be very interested in getting their hands on a game like this.

I totally agree with Johnny Wojcicki. TU on the wii would be awesome.

Does anybody still have thoe older previews of The Underside?
i would like to play them and see the stuff i missed out on by finding this awesome game too late :/
September 5th, 2010 at 7:22 pm
the older versions of the game are basically the same as the newer versions of the game, except with more primitive writing/graphics and less content
September 6th, 2010 at 12:03 pm
Ok, i thougt i saw something in one of your older videos but…. Just my imagination…
